Sikh Muslim Forum

About

Sikh Muslim Forum is a national interfaith charity for the charitable objects of the promotion of religious harmony for the public benefit.

While the organisation is currently funded by the Interfaith Alliance UK with a linked bank account, the charity is operated by a wholly independent Board of Trustees none of whom are also Trustees of the Interfaith Alliance UK.  The charity has made application to the Charity Commission for registration, and upon obtaining a Charity Registration Number will open its own wholly independent bank account.

The charity is fully inclusive of all faith traditions in the United Kingdom which are recognised by the Charity Commission as falling within its definition of a religion, though has a particular focus on Sikh-Muslim dialogue, and the charity exists to promote education by the public of the beliefs and practices of different religious faiths in order to promote respect and understanding both of the differences and the common ground between them.
